Onion snails

Ingredients for the preparation of onion cloves

Cooking onion cloves:

Step 1: Cook the dough.

It’s not difficult to make yeast dough, the main thing is to give him enough time to rise. So, first of all, fill the yeast with warm water (approximately 35 - 37 degrees), 25 ml should be enough. Leave on 10 minutes.Sift flour through a sieve into a plate or any other convenient container. So the flour is saturated with oxygen and gets rid of flour lumps.
We wash the eggs under hot running water, carefully break them into the mixer bowl, put them in the same place 50 grams or 4 tablespoons softened butter (not melted), add sugar, salt, 1 cup of warm water, yeast and 350 grams of sifted flour. Turn on the mixer at medium speed and beat a homogeneous batter for about 2 minutes. Then gradually add the remaining flour, while still stirring with a mixer.

We cover the bowl with sticky dough with a kitchen towel, put it in a warm place and give it time to approximately double in size.

After which we knead the dough with your hand, wrap the bowl with cling film and put it in the refrigerator 4 - 6 hoursbut better at night.

Step 2: Cook the onion stuffing.

Peel the onion, rinse it under running water and lay on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, chop the onion with either a medium cube or half rings.

Turn on the medium heat on the stove, add butter to the pan, about 2 tbsp. tablespoons, put on the burner and wait until it is fully warmed up. Now you can shift the bow. Fry it until soft for about 2 to 3 minutes, periodically stirring with a kitchen spatula. Then we reduce the heat and fry until a beautiful ruddy color. Then we put it on a plate, and give it time to cool.

Step 3: Form the snail buns.

We take the bowl out of the refrigerator, sprinkle a flat surface with flour, carefully shift the dough, knead lightly, divide in half and process the rolling pin with flour.

Then we first roll out one part into a rectangular-shaped formation with a thickness of about 1 - 1.5 cm, and then the second.

Lubricate the test layers with butter and sprinkle evenly with onions, so that it is enough for both sides.

Now we twist the layers into long rolls, cut across with an approximate step of 3 cm. The resulting "snails" can be baked.

Step 4: Bake the dish.

Buns can be baked on a baking sheet, in a round shape or in a special form for muffins. In our case, there was a form for cupcakes. We process it with vegetable oil, put the "evidence" and leave them for a while to rise.
If you use a round shape, then we lay out the rolls with a flower, but at some distance from each other, you should also lay out the "snails" on the baking sheet, because during baking they will increase in size.
We set the baking dish only in preheated 200 degrees the oven. And bake the buns until fully cooked for about 15 to 20 minutes, during which time they should be completely baked and browned.
We take out the "snails" from the oven, carefully transfer them to a beautiful plate and leave to cool.

Step 5: Serve the onion clues.

Baking is best served warm or chilled, along with drinks. But what kind, you decide, for example, with milk, various cocktails, juices, and of course, hot aromatic tea or coffee.

Recipe Tips:

- Butter can be replaced with margarine.
