Cooking herring in oil:
Step 1: soak the herring.
Take the skinless salted herring fillet and soak it for 30 minutes in cold water. Then dry and cut into portions.
At the same time, peel the onions and cut them into quarters of rings.
Step 2: put everything in a jar.
Lay herring in a clean jar in layers. First fish sprinkled with ground pepper, then onion, then fish and pepper again and so on.
Also, add allspice between the layers, and onion must be at the very top.
Step 3: fill the herring with oil.
Fill the contents of the can with rapeseed or sunflower oil.
Herring with onions should literally drown in oil, so do not spare it.
