Cooking Baked Oatmeal Apples:

Step 1: prepare the apples.

Rinse and dry the fruit. Remove the core of apples. The easiest way is with a special cutter, but not everyone has it on the farm, so you have to do with a knife and a teaspoon. Do not scrub a lot, just literally remove the seeds, grabbing a little pulp.

Step 2: prepare the filling.

Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. This mixture will need to be divided into exactly four parts to stuff apples with it.

Step 3: bake oatmeal apples.

Fill apples with oatmeal, place them in a shape or on a baking sheet so that they do not fall, lay on top of each fruit 1/4 tablespoon butter, and pour hot water into the bottom of the mold. Cover the top with foil and send the fruit to the preheated 190 degrees the oven. Bake it all for 20 minutes.
Attention: the foil should not lie tightly on the apples, there should be a little "air" between it and the fruit.
Then open the stuffed apples, removing the foil, and leave them to bake until the fruits are soft and the sugar turns into syrup. Most likely, this will require more 20-30 minutes. Readiness can be checked with a knife blade, it should easily go into the pulp of fruit. The peel on the apples wrinkles.

Step 4: serve the baked apples with oatmeal.

Serve baked apples with oatmeal immediately after cooking. Add to them a couple of balls of ice cream and the best dessert in the world is ready!
In addition, after cooking, such apples can be stored in the refrigerator, and heated in the microwave before serving.
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- Brown sugar can be replaced by ordinary, but the result will be slightly different, there will be no caramel flavor and taste.

- Here's what else you can add to baked apples: orange zest, lemon zest, grated ginger, candied ginger, raisins or other dried fruits, chopped nuts, cream cheese, mascarpone, peanut butter.
