Caramel Apple Donuts


Ingredients for Making Caramel Apple Donuts

  1. Wheat flour 1 1/4 cup
  2. Baking powder for dough 2 teaspoons
  3. Ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. Eggs 2 pieces (room temperature)
  6. Sugar 1/2 cup (light brown)
  7. Sugar 1/2 cup (white)
  8. Vegetable oil 1/2 cup
  9. Vanilla Extract 2 teaspoons
  10. Apples 3 pieces (medium)
  11. Toffee 1 1/2 cups
  12. Milk 1 tablespoon

Inventory:

Bakeware, deep plate - 2 pieces, grater, spatula, tablespoon, stewpan, whisk, hot pots.

Making apple caramel donuts:

Step 1: prepare the apples.


Rinse the apples, peel them and divide each into quarters. Cut the seeds, remove the ponytails and "antennae", and grate the remaining pulp on a medium grater.

Step 2: knead the dough.


Take two plates. In one, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. In another, beat eggs well with white and light brown sugar. Then pour the oil and vanilla extract into the egg mass, mix everything until smooth.
Now combine loose ingredients with liquid. Place a uniform dough and add grated apples to it. And mix everything well again.

Step 3: bake apple donuts.


Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
Spread the dough on the prepared baking tins, filling them to the very top. Flatten the dough with a spoon or spatula.
You need to bake apple donuts for 15-20 minutes. Products should become a pleasant golden color. Check readiness by piercing the dough with a toothpick; if its tip is clean and dry, donuts can be taken out of the oven.

Remove the finished apple donuts from the mold onto the wire rack and leave them to cool there.

Step 4: prepare the caramel.


Mix milk with toffee and either heat everything over low heat and cook, stirring, until the toffee is completely dissolved; either put everything in the microwave on 1 minute at medium power, mix, then return to the microwave and repeat the whole procedure until you get a homogeneous liquid mass.

Step 5: Dip the apple donut in caramel.


So it’s up to little. It remains only to dip the apple donuts in caramel. And if your products are too large and inconvenient to dip, then donuts should simply be caramelized on top using a regular tablespoon.

Leave the apple donuts covered with viscous caramel on the wire rack for some more time, and after that serve sweet pastries to the table.

Step 6: Serve the caramel apple donuts.
