Pie with orange filling


Ingredients for Making Orange Pie

For the test

  1. Wheat flour 2 cups
  2. Baking margarine 150 grams
  3. Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
  4. Salt 1 pinch
  5. Milk 1/2 cup
  6. Sugar 1 teaspoon

  1. Sugar 1 cup
  2. Orange 1 piece (large)

Making orange-tart pie:

Step 1: brew the yeast.


Brew yeast in half a glass of warm, but not boiled milk. Add to them a teaspoon of sugar, stir and leave on the table until a “cap” is formed.

Step 2: prepare the dough.


Slightly softened margarine grate, mix with wheat flour and salt. Mix hands, grind everything. It should turn out a mass, somewhat reminiscent of bread crumbs.
Pour yeast diluted in milk into the dough, remove everything well, cover with cling film so that it does not wind off and leave it to warm evenly on the heat 1 hour.

Step 3: prepare the filling.


At the same time, start cooking the toppings. To do this, rinse a large orange properly, cut into large pieces with a knife and remove all the bones from it. Then, as it is, along with the peel, chop the orange in a meat grinder. Mix the resulting mass with sugar properly.

Step 4: make a cake with orange filling.


Mash the dough slightly and divide into two equal parts. Put one half aside, and stretch the other with your hands, flatten and lay on the bottom of the form, bending the edges to the top.

Pour the orange filling into the dough. Lubricate the protruding sides with a beaten egg.

Stretch the second, remaining piece of dough and lay on top, covering it with the filling. Connect the edges of the cakes. Dip the top layer of the pie with a fork, or make shallow cuts with a knife and also brush with a beaten egg.
Formed cake, let stand warm for 30 minutes.

Step 5: bake a pie with orange filling.


Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. And send it to bake a pie with orange filling on 30-45 minutes. The readiness of baking can be determined by the browning of the top, and you can also pierce the dough with a toothpick, there should not be any pieces and moisture left on it.
