Pumpkin Cookies


Ingredients for Cooking Pumpkin Cookies

  1. Pumpkin pulp (fresh) 120 grams
  2. Sugar 100 grams
  3. Wheat flour 300 grams
  4. Butter 100 grams
  5. Honey 1 tablespoon
  6. Egg 1 piece
  7. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Inventory:

Plate - 2 pieces, a grater, a tablespoon, a stewpan, a heat-resistant baking sheet, rolling pin, parchment for baking, hot pots, cookie cutters.

Cooking pumpkin cookies:

Step 1: Prepare the pumpkin pulp.


Grind the pulp of pumpkin peeled from seeds and a thick peel with a grater, put it in a separate deep plate and cover it with sugar. Stir and refrigerate. It is clear that it is better to prepare pumpkin pulp in this way in advance.
Having insisted, the pumpkin will give juice, it will need to be squeezed so that the pulp itself becomes drier. Set aside for further cooking. 4 tablespoons pumpkin juice, and use the rest at your discretion.

Step 2: Mix the butter with honey.


In a stewpan mix 4 tablespoons previously squeezed pumpkin juice, honey and butter. Heat everything and mix until the oil melts and the total mass becomes liquid.

Step 3: Knead the dough for pumpkin cookies.


Pour wheat flour into a clean, dry plate, mix with baking powder for dough. Now dump the squeezed pumpkin pulp here and mix everything thoroughly with a tablespoon. Pour warm butter mixed with honey and pumpkin juice into the dough, mix again. Lastly, add the egg and place the dough. The dough, by the way, turns out to be rather dense, if you get a little liquid, add some more flour, but do not overdo it.

Step 4: Cut out pumpkin cookies.


On a tabletop sprinkled with flour (or covered with a film), roll part of the dough into a thin layer and cut out cookies using cookie cutters. The thickness of the rolled dough should be around 3-5 millimeters. Put the cut cookies directly on a baking sheet covered with parchment or greased baking sheet. Collect the leftovers in one lump and roll out again, and then cut out cookies from it. Repeat everything until you use the whole dough.

Step 5: Bake Pumpkin Cookies.


Bake pumpkin cookies in preheated 180 degrees oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Ready cookies are easily removed from the pan. Remove them from the oven and transfer to a plate.
After cooling down, pumpkin cookies become tastier, so be patient and serve tea baked goods only after it reaches room temperature.

Step 6: Serve the pumpkin cookies.


Pumpkin cookies are good on their own, and with honey or chocolate cream even tastier. Serve it for dessert, cook for the holidays and delight your loved ones with this wonderful autumn treat.
