Cooking puff snack cake:

Step 1: Cook the puff pastry cakes.

The basis of the snack cake will be puff pastry cakes. To make them you can take the purchased dough or cook it yourself. Of course, it’s easier to buy.
Divide the puff pastry into several parts, roll each into a thin rectangular layer (all layers should be approximately the same size), and then bake the cakes in preheated 180 degrees the oven. After cooking, let the dough cool. Therefore, you can cook cakes in advance and then you just have to collect a snack cake, which will take no more than 15 minutes.

Step 2: Cooking Cheese Cream.

In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and cream cheese. I also add finely chopped dill and onion feathers, but you can also sprinkle each layer separately.

Step 3: Collect the puff snack cake.

Spread puff pastry on a baking sheet and spread it with cream of cheese and mayonnaise.

Prepare the salted salmon filet. I have already finished thin slices, so nothing more needs to be done with it. But a whole piece of fish fillet will need to be removed from the skin and cut into cubes or stripes.

Lay the pieces of fish on top of the cream.

Grease the salmon on top with cheese cream, then cover it with a second cake and repeat all the layers again in the same order.

Collect this whole snack cake. Top it does not need to be greased, unless, if you decide to decorate it.
Puff snack cake assembled. Send it overnight in the refrigerator, where it will soak and become even tastier.

Step 4: Serve the puff snack cake.

Before serving the puff snack cake to the table, remove it from the refrigerator and divide it into several rectangles. Fold the pieces nicely into the festive dish, decorate the plate with fresh herbs, lemon slices or olives. Serve to the table.

A layered snack cake, despite its simplicity, turns out to be very tasty and festive. Guests will definitely appreciate it, they will also ask for the recipe, but you will not admit it for anything!
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of a mixture of mayonnaise with cheese, you can use just curd cheese or sour cream mixed with cheese, processed cheese and the like.

- You can decorate the snack cake with roses from salmon fillet, boiled shrimps or spread cream on all sides and sprinkle with crumbled puff pastry, just like the familiar Napoleon cake.

- You can add juicy vegetables to the filling of the snack cake. Tomatoes, cucumbers or crispy bell peppers are perfect here.
