Salad with Red Beans and Sausage


Ingredients for Salad with Red Beans and Sausage

  1. Smoked sausage 250 grams
  2. Bulgarian red pepper 1 piece (large)
  3. Hard cheese 200 grams
  4. Pickled cucumbers 8 pieces
  5. Canned red beans 1 can
  6. Canned corn 1/2 tins
  7. Mayonnaise 3 tablespoons
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Ground black pepper to taste
  10. Ground chilli to taste

Salad bowl, kitchen knife, cutting board, tablespoon, colander or sieve, can opener.

Making a salad with red beans and sausage:

Step 1: Prepare the sausage.


Choose the most delicious smoked sausage or sausages. Peel them from inedible skins. If you have sausage, then you will need to crumble it into cubes. And sausages having a small diameter can simply be cut into circles of medium thickness.

Step 2: Prepare the bell pepper.


Divide the bell pepper in half, take out the stem and remove the seed core. Rinse the vegetables inside and out, remove any whitish partitions and cut into cubes.

Step 3: Prepare the cheese.


Cheese cut into medium-sized cubes, but they should not be more than one bean. This, incidentally, applies to all other products, try to cut them so that all the pieces are about the same size (except for sausage circles, they can be made and more).

Step 4: Prepare the pickles.


Cut pickles into cubes, if you have very small cucumbers, then they can crumble in circles.

Step 5: Prepare Beans and Corn.


Pour red beans and corn from cans and mix in a colander or strainer. Rinse with cool water and wait for excess moisture to drain.

Step 6: Mix the salad with red beans and sausage.


Now take all the prepared ingredients: beans, corn, pickles, cheese, bell pepper and sausage. Mix them in one salad bowl. Add salt, black pepper and hot chili pepper to taste, season with three tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix well. That’s all, you don’t have to make anything smart, just serve the ready-made salad to the table!

Step 7: Serve a salad with red beans and sausage.


Serve red beans and sausage as a complement to pasta or as a separate dish.

- Also in this salad you can add a little green peas, or even replace them with pickles.

- If you want, instead of dried hot chili peppers, you can add fresh, but only the pod will need to be cleaned of seeds, washed and cut into very small pieces.
