Braised beef with cabbage in a slow cooker

Cooking braised beef with cabbage in a slow cooker:

Step 1: Prepare the meat.


Beef must be thawed (or taken chilled), rinsed with cold water and dried with disposable paper towels. Cut the prepared meat into small cubes, simultaneously cutting off the excess fat and removing blood vessels, as well as all the veins, because after cooking they will become stiff and will significantly complicate the meal.

Step 2: Prepare the vegetables.


Peel the cabbage from the top leaves, rinse, remove the stalk, and then chop into thin strips or cut into rectangles. In general, the shape and size of the vegetable slices in this dish depends only on your desire and taste preferences.

Rinse the carrots, peel and rinse again with water, and then cut into semicircles or cubes.
Peel the bell peppers from the seeds and remove the peduncle, rinse thoroughly with running water, dry and cut into small cubes.
Wash the tomatoes with warm water, remove the stalk and cut into cubes of any size.
Peel onions, rinse with cold water, just to make it more convenient to work with it, cut with feathers, half rings or cubes.

Step 3: Stew the beef and cabbage in a slow cooker.


Put the prepared meat into the multicooker bowl, select the mode on the device "Bakery products" and set the timer to 20 minutes. During this time, the beef will bake a little and change color.
As soon as the slow cooker informs you about the end of the program, add chopped onion, bell pepper and carrots to the meat, mix well, set the mode again "Bakery products" still on 10 minutes.
Next, we place the cabbage in the multicooker bowl, mix everything again (you can add a little vegetable oil) and continue cooking in the mode "Bakery products" still 20 minutes. Per 5-10 minutes before the end of the program, add tomato slices, meat spices and salt to the braised beef with cabbage.
Important: You can immediately set the timer in "Bakery products" on 50 minutes, but it’s only much more convenient to navigate by the sound of a timer than to time yourself.
That's all, now we just have to bring the stewed beef with cabbage to full readiness so that the meat turns out to be completely soft and juicy, and the vegetables are saturated with its juices. To do this, pour into the multicooker bowl 2 multi glasses boiled water, mix and set the timer to 1 hour 30 minutes in mode "Extinguishing".
A few minutes before cooking, you need to check the stewed beef and cabbage for a taste, perhaps you need to add more salt or some spices. As soon as the slow cooker finishes stewing and informs you about it, joyfully clinking the timer, the meat with vegetables will be ready and it will need to be served immediately.

Step 4: Serve the beef and cabbage stewed in a slow cooker.


Beef and cabbage, stewed in a multiquark, turns out to be tender, saturated with aromas of spices, and the meat itself, due to lengthy cooking, becomes tender and very tasty. Serve all this beauty for a family lunch or dinner, no one will refuse such a full and hearty dish.

Recipe Tips:

- Some housewives add tomato paste or sour cream to the stew with cabbage a few minutes before cooking, along with spices.

- If during cooking at the initial stages you notice that not enough juice is extracted from meat and vegetables, add a little vegetable oil to them.
