Cooking pumpkin puree for the winter:

Step 1: Cut the pumpkin.

Important notice. Before you start cutting the pumpkin, be sure to thoroughly rinse it, because all the germs and dirt that are on the outside will certainly get inside the vegetable flesh when cutting. And do not forget to make sure that you have a large kitchen knife on your household with which you can cut the pumpkin.

Cut off the top with the green tail, exposing the pulp and seeds. After, carefully divide your pumpkin into four parts, cutting it lengthwise. The resulting quarters need to be cut again, now across, so that you get eight approximately equal pieces.

From each individual piece of pumpkin, scoop out the seeds along with the partitions with a spoon.

Seeds should never be thrown away, they are also useful. Rinse them, dry them, and then fry them in a pan or dry them completely in the oven.

Step 2: Bake the pumpkin.

Set the oven to warm up 180 degrees Celsius. Place pieces of pumpkin on a heat-resistant baking sheet, and then send them to the preheated oven and bake there 50-60 minutes. After that, take out the baked pieces of pumpkin and, laying them out on a table, let cool.

Step 3: Peel the pumpkin.

After you bake and cool the pumpkin, the skin is peeled off very easily. It can simply be cut or pulled off with a spoon.

Step 4: Cook and freeze pumpkin puree for the winter.

Cut the peeled pumpkin flesh into small pieces of any size and pour into a blender bowl. Turn on the appliance and grind the vegetable until smooth mashed.
No blender, no problem! Use a sieve or a regular crush to make mashed potatoes. It is a pity that in this case the mass will turn out not so homogeneous.
Cooked pumpkin puree can immediately be eaten, but we did it all for a reason, we need to preserve all the vitamins and useful properties of this vegetable. Therefore, take special plastic bags, I use those that are equipped with a zip-lock. Put the mashed potatoes in bags and put everything in the freezer.

Step 5: Serve the mashed pumpkin.

Frozen pumpkin puree is ready. Before serving it to the table, it will need to be burnt or something else to cook with it, you will decide when the time comes, but for now let it lie. With such a supply of pumpkin puree in the refrigerator, you will not be afraid of any vitamin deficiency and winter spleen!
Enjoy your meal!
