Cooking pickled apples for the winter:

Step 1: Prepare the apples.

For cooking, take strong, and preferably slightly unripe apples. Rinse them thoroughly with a brush to remove all dirt, because we will not remove the skin from the fruit. After thorough washing, dry the apples with paper towels.
Divide pure fruits into two to six parts (depending on their size, small apples can be cut into halves, and large apples into quarters or thick slices). Take out the seed cores and remove the twigs. Everything, the preparation of apples in this recipe is the most laborious part, everything else is done easily and simply.

Step 2: Pickle apples for the winter.

In clean sterilized jars, lay pieces of prepared apples tightly to each other. Pour boiling water into fruit jars. Cover with lids and leave to stand on 1 hour.
Then pour the water from the jars of apples into the stewpan and prepare the marinade based on it. To do this, first put the water to boil on medium heat, then dissolve the granulated sugar and salt in it, add all the necessary spices (those that are written in the list of ingredients). After the marinade boils, boil it 2-3 minutesso that all the flavors mix. At the end, pour in the same apple cider vinegar and cook evenly 1 minute.

Pour apples with a ready-made fragrant hot marinade, tightly cover the jars with lids, and then wrap them in a thin plaid (you can use kitchen towels or unnecessary clothes). Under this "fur coat", hold the pickled apples to cool completely, and then remove the blanket and send the workpiece to a dark cool place where it will wait for the right moment.
Pickled apples cooked according to this recipe can be eaten through 2 days.

Step 3: Serve the pickled apples.

Pickled apples are a festive appetizer, as well as an incredibly mouth-watering addition to main dishes, especially if they are made from meat. Of course, the taste of pickled apples, like soaked apples, is not suitable for everyone, but, as practice shows, there will always be at least one fan in the family, so why not please him?
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- If you do not want to harvest pickled apples for the winter, you can immediately pour them with the finished marinade, and not soak them first in boiling water. Such apples will also be ready in two days.

- If your apples are very small, you can carefully cut the core out of them, and then pickle the whole fruit.
