Cooking apple jam for the winter:

Step 1: prepare the apples.

Apples first of all need to be washed thoroughly with warm running water, inspected from all sides and removed with a knife all the spoiled places, cut wormholes, dark spots and so on.
Dry the washed apples with paper towels and cut into medium-sized cubes. On the way from each fruit you need to cut the core with seeds and pull out a twig. The skin does not need to be removed.

Step 2: Cook Apple Jam

Take a larger pan and put the prepared apples in it. Sprinkle slices of fruit with granulated sugar. Place a pan with apples on a medium heat and, stirring all the time, cook for 10-15 minutes. Sugar should melt a little, and pieces of fruit to let the juice.
After the first cooking, leave the apples alone on 2-4 hours. Let it cool slightly and soak in syrup.

After a few hours, return the pan to a slow fire and boil apples with sugar again, but now for 15-20 minutes. And don't forget to mix the future jam often.

Step 3: insist on apple jam.

After the second cooking, the pan must be removed from the heat and set aside. Let the jam cool and infuse for 18-20 hours. I usually cook it in the evening, and then leave it for the night and a little more.

Step 4: bring apple jam to full readiness.

After the apple jam has infused for several hours, the time will come to bring it back to a slow fire and boil again for 15-20 minutes. After that, the contents of the pan must again be set aside for a while. It is best at this moment to do the washing and sterilization of cans with lids.
After some time, return the jam to the fire and boil for 10-15 minutes last time. As a result, the consistency of your brew should turn out to be thick, and the jam will also noticeably decrease in volume from what it was at the beginning. This is normal, he just boiled.
After the last cooking, hot apple jam should be poured into sterilized, heated cans and tightly closed, rolled up with lids. That's all, now apple jam will only have to be cooled and removed to other blanks in order to cook something of that sort in the winter.

Step 5: serve apple jam.

Cook pastries with apple jam, serve it with tea or homemade buns. In any case, you must agree that it is incredibly pleasant to open another jar of natural fruit goodies in winter and share it with your loved ones.
Enjoy your meal!
