Sun-dried plums


Ingredients for Dried Plums

  1. Plums 1 kilogram
  2. Garlic 2-3 cloves
  3. Black peppercorns to taste
  4. Allspice peas to taste
  5. Whole cloves to taste
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Dried herbs (rosemary, oregano, thyme) to taste
  8. Olive oil 100 milliliters
  • Main ingredients: Garlic, Plum

Inventory:

Oven, baking tray, glass jar, kitchen knife, cutting board, tablespoon, disposable paper towels.

Cooking dried plums:

Step 1: Prepare the plums.


To prepare dried plums, you need to choose ripe, dense fruits without visible damage, that is, dark spots and cracks on the skin. The pulp should be fleshy and not friable.
Wash selected plums under warm running water, and then dry them with disposable paper towels.

Cut the prepared plums into halves with a sharp knife so as not to wrinkle the flesh and remove the seeds from the core of the fruit.

Step 2: Weed plums.


Place the drain halves on a baking sheet. Lay them at a certain distance from each other and in one layer. Sprinkle fruit with a mixture of salt and dried herbs. Place the plums in the heated plums in the pan until 120 degrees the oven.

The exact cooking time of the dried plums depends on the capacity of your oven and the juiciness of the fruit, usually enough 4-5 hours. During this time, the halves of the drain should decrease in size, and the skin wrinkle. The main thing is not to dry.

At the end, fill in the dried plum with oil and tightly close the lid. Such a blank should only be stored in the refrigerator and no longer 2-3 months. However, it usually doesn’t stand for so long, and is eaten almost immediately.

Step 4: Serve the dried plums.


Serve dried plums as a snack or as a decoration for various dishes. Slices of spicy dried fruit will make any of your dishes exquisite, and the meal is festive. You can also pamper yourself with dried plums by eating them in the bite with cheese or with a glass of good wine.
And a little secret at the end. If you grind the dried plums along with all the spices, garlic and butter, you will get a very tasty and original sauce.

Recipe Tips:

- Ahead of the question, it is not worth making jerky of frozen plum, it is better to prepare sauce from it.

- Instead of olive oil, you can take refined sunflower in the same amount.
