Tangerine and Chicken Salad Ingredients

The main

  1. Chicken fillet 2 pieces

Blender, frying pan, spatula, kitchen knife, cutting board, grater, salad spoon, colander, disposable paper towels, deep plate - 2 pieces.

Making a salad with tangerines and chicken:

Step 1: Preparing the dressing.

Let's start by making a salad dressing. I do this with a blender, simply because it’s more convenient for me, but it’s quite possible to prepare a dressing manually.
Pour olive oil into the bowl first.

Add the same soy sauce.

White wine vinegar.

Peel the garlic cloves, rub and pour the resulting mass into a blender.

For other ingredients, send ginger root peeled and chopped with a grater.

Pour in sesame oil.

Add brown sugar to taste. Of course, you can use the usual one, but the taste comes out not so interesting. By the way, you can still use honey.

Do not forget to send in a blender and red pepper.

Close the appliance and whisk it all together until the dressing turns into an emulsion.
Important: salad dressing can be prepared in advance, having insisted it becomes even more aromatic.

Step 2: Prepare the chicken.

Wash chicken fillet with warm running water and pat dry with disposable paper towels.
Heat the oil in a frying pan well and place slices of fillet on it. Pepper, salt and fry over low heat for 6-8 minutes, then flip, salt and pepper the other side and continue cooking 6-8 minutes. Chicken fillet must be cooked through 10-15 minutes after the start of frying. For a long time it is not necessary to torment him, otherwise it will dry out and lose its juiciness.

After frying, remove the chicken from the heat, let it rest for 5 minutesand then chop.

You need to cut the meat into small cubes.

Add 1/3 of the previously cooked dressing to the fried and chopped chicken and let the bird marinate like this for several minutes while preparing the remaining ingredients, for example.

After the chicken is slightly covered with dressing, sprinkle it with sesame seeds. I used both regular and black. Seeds should stick to the chicken. If you want, you can add a little more sesame.
Important: if you have a little more time left, lightly fry the sesame seeds in a pan.

Step 3: Prepare the greens.

Sprinkle the salad mixture in a colander, rinse thoroughly, then dry with disposable paper towels. Large leaves can be torn by hand.

Step 4: Prepare the tomatoes.

Rinse the tomatoes, clean from twigs, dry with towels and cut into halves.

Step 5: Prepare the onion.

Peel half the red onion, rinse with cool water and cut into thin half rings or feathers.

Step 6: Prepare the tangerines.

Peel the tangerines from a thick skin, then disassemble them into slices, take out the seeds and separate the pulp from the thin white films.

Step 7: Mix the salad with tangerines and chicken.

Pour greens into a salad bowl, add onions.

Throw in the same halves of cherry tomatoes.

Pour the dish with half the remaining dressing. The rest, if desired, will be able to decorate the finished salad on top.

Stir the tomatoes, herbs and red onions, add to them the chicken, boned in sesame seeds, and lay the mandarin slices beautifully in an artistic mess. And immediately serve the finished salad with tangerines and chicken to the table.

Step 8: Serve the salad with tangerines and chicken.

Salad with tangerines and chicken is quite satisfying, so feel free to serve it as an independent dish for lunch. Arrange on serving plates, if necessary, decorate everything with the remaining dressing or put it right there in a separate saucepan. Enjoy the taste of tender chicken, the spicy aroma of ginger and sesame seeds and the sweetness of juicy mandarin slices.

- You can control the amount of sugar, oil and other ingredients in the dressing yourself, based on personal feelings and tastes.
