  6. Dried oregano 1/3 teaspoon
  7. Dried basil 1/3 teaspoon
  8. Allspice 3-4 peas
  9. Apple vinegar 1 tablespoon (per 1 liter jar)

Inventory:

Clean sterile jars with lids, can opener, colander, saucepan, ladle, kitchen knife, tablespoon, kitchen towel, disposable paper towels.

Cooking tomatoes with honey for the winter:

Step 1: Prepare the tomatoes.


As always, first rinse the tomatoes with warm running water several times. To make it easier and less fuss, I just poured tomatoes in a colander. Then she held them a little on the weight, letting the excess water drain and at the very end she wiped the vegetables with disposable paper towels.

Step 2: Put the tomatoes in jars.


She arranged the prepared clean jars (do not forget that they must be sterilized) and put several peeled garlic cloves and clean dill branches on the bottom of each. Then she laid tomatoes on top. She laid so that the vegetables pressed tightly against each other. But just do not need to press them hard, the skin of each tomato should remain whole, without cracks.
Boil water in a saucepan, pour boiling water in jars of tomatoes, cover loosely and wait 10 minutes.

Step 3: We harvest tomatoes with honey for the winter.


When will pass 10 minutes, pour the water back from the cans into the pan, add sugar and salt, and then bring to a boil again. Pour the remaining spices into boiling water: allspice and black pepper, dried herbs (oregano and basil), cloves. Stir the boiling marinade on and off. Add the right amount of honey.

Gently pour the resulting honey marinade into jars of tomatoes. And so that the glass does not burst, you can put the jars on the blade of the kitchen knife. At the end, add apple cider vinegar directly to the tomatoes.
Roll up cans with prepared lids. Turn the blanks with their lids down and wrap them tightly with a towel or blanket. Leave to cool for a day. After which they can already be sent to a cool dark place where delicious tomatoes with honey will wait in the wings.

Step 4: Serve the tomatoes with honey.


Tomatoes with honey - a great and very bright snack. On any holiday table, they look simply amazing. Why, you will see for yourself when you cook, and when you try, you cannot stop.
