Green Shrimp Salad


Ingredients for Making Green Shrimp Salad

For salad

  1. Young spinach 200-250 grams
  2. Avocado 1/2 pieces
  3. Grapefruit 1 piece
  4. Shrimp peeled 200-250 grams
  5. Olive oil 2 tablespoons
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Ground black pepper to taste

For salad dressing

  1. Lime 2 pieces
  2. Orange 1 piece
  3. Garlic 1 clove
  4. Vinegar (rice or white wine) 60 grams
  5. Pure water 60 grams
  6. Olive oil 60 grams
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Ground black pepper to taste
  • Main Ingredients: Shrimp, Spinach, Avocado, Grapefruit, Lime
  • Serving 3 servings

Inventory:

Salad bowl, frying pan, kitchen knife, cutting board, fork, cup, tablespoon, garlic press, spatula.

Making green shrimp salad:

Step 1: Prepare the spinach.


Rinse the spinach with warm running water and pat dry, removing excess moisture. Since the spinach leaves are young and small in themselves, it is therefore unnecessary to cut them. You can immediately put the greens on the bottom of the salad bowl, evenly spreading the leaves.

Step 2: Preparing the Avocado


Divide the avocado in half, as always making an incision and simply spreading the halves in different directions. Then remove the peel from one half that you will use to make the salad. Cut the peeled pulp into thin slices.

Step 3: Prepare the grapefruit.


Peel the grapefruit from the upper thick skin, then divide it into slices and carefully remove all the white membranes from each. With the tip of a knife, carefully remove the seeds. Leave the peeled grapefruit slices whole without chopping them even smaller.

Step 4: Preparing a salad dressing.


Wash and dry the limes and orange, divide each citrus in half. Peel the garlic clove and pass several times through a special press.

Squeeze the juice from the fruit, making sure that the pieces of pulp and seeds do not get into the liquid. If necessary, strain the citrus juice through a fine sieve.

Add chopped garlic, vinegar, salt, water, olive oil and ground black pepper to fruit juice. Shake and mix all the ingredients for dressing with a fork.
Attention: if you like a more astringent taste, you can not dilute the sauce with water, and, on the contrary, you can slightly soften the taste of the dressing by adding sugar to it.

Step 5: Prepare the shrimp.


Peeled shrimp do not defrost, but be sure to cut off all the tails. Heat olive oil in a pan and pour seafood there. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Fry the shrimp for 3-5 minutesby periodically turning them over. Let the seafood become a uniform pink color on all sides.

Step 6: Mix the green salad with shrimp.


As you recall, we already laid spinach on the bottom of the salad bowl, now pour peeled slices of grapefruit and chopped avocado pulp on top of it.

Place the shrimps just removed from the pan on top of the salad and pour the green salad with citrus dressing. The finished dish must be served immediately.
Attention: The exact amount of dressing that you want to add to the salad, control yourself, based on your own taste.

Step 7: Serve a green shrimp salad.


A green shrimp salad will delight all seafood lovers, as the ingredients and special dressing well emphasize their taste. In addition, the salad turns out to be very original and fresh, and its appearance will certainly cheer you up.

- Salad dressing prepared according to the described recipe is suitable for other summer greens.

- At will, instead of young spinach, you can use salad leaves or a salad mixture of the greens that you like best. However, it is spinach that is most suitable for taste.

- Do not take shrimps that are large in size for the preparation of this salad, as it is not convenient to eat the whole shrimp immediately, whereas small shrimps are just for one.
