Multicooker Dumpling Soup

Ingredients for making soup with dumplings in a slow cooker

Slow cooker, ladle, deep plate, wooden spatula, kitchen knife, cutting board, grater, knife for cleaning vegetables, fork, teaspoons - 2 pieces.

Cooking soup with dumplings in a slow cooker:

Step 1: Prepare the carrots.

First prepare the carrots. Keep in mind that this is a root crop and it grew in the ground, so it is imperative to thoroughly rinse it with water, then peel off the skin, and then wash it well again, completely eliminating dirt. Do not grate the peeled vegetable or cut into thin strips if it is good and easy for you.

Step 2: Prepare the onion.

Peel the onion and cut into slices as large as you like. Do you want at least half rings, at least very small cubes.

Step 3: Stew the vegetables.

Pour a little, very little, vegetable oil into the bowl of the multicooker, suitable for frying. Put chopped onions and carrots in the appliance, turn on the mode "Frying" and set the timer to 7-9 minutes. Stir vegetables during cooking and make sure they are not burnt. It may take less time than I indicated, so cook carefully.
While the onions and carrots are fried, there is time to start preparing other vegetables, but if you are not confident in your speed, it is better to prepare everything in advance.

Step 4: Prepare the potatoes.

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly with water several times, then remove the peel from it with a knife and rinse again to remove any remaining soil and dirt. Cut the peeled vegetables into small cubes, but you don’t need to grind it too much, let the slices be medium size.

Step 5: Prepare the greens.

Rinse the greens and chop very finely. Instead of fresh herbs, dried ones are quite suitable, but then you need to add them to the soup not at the end, but at the beginning of cooking.

Step 6: Prepare the garlic.

Peel the cloves of garlic and chop in any way convenient for you. That is, you can cut with a knife, grate, use a special press.

Step 7: Prepare the dough for dumplings.

It remains to prepare the most interesting, that is, dumplings. To do this, break the chicken egg into a deep plate, add salt to it to taste and beat in a homogeneous mass. Then pour one tablespoon of wheat flour and knead, breaking all the clots and lumps. The dough for dumplings should turn out quite thick, but even so, it can be easily scooped up with a spoon. You may need a little more flour than I indicated, it all depends on the ingredients that you use.

Step 8: Cook the dumpling soup in the slow cooker.

During the preparation of other ingredients, you just had to arrive onions with carrots. Turn off the multicooker and pour the potatoes into it, and then pour the chicken stock, salt to taste and add allspice with peas. Close the appliance lid and select "Cooking" or "Soup"set the timer to 40 minutes. And while you go about your business, leaving the cooking to your miracle assistant.
Per 10-15 minutes before the end of the installed program, open the multicooker lid, but only carefully so as not to burn yourself with steam, and add dumplings to the soup. The dough must be put in a boiling liquid very quickly. To do this, scoop the mass with one teaspoon, and deftly shake the second into the soup. After all the prepared dough is in the broth, add black ground pepper and close the slow cooker again.
At the end of the program, it remains only to add fresh greens, chopped garlic and a little butter to the soup for taste, and then let the dish stand in the multicooker turned off under a closed lid.

Step 9: Serve the dumpling soup cooked in a slow cooker.

Serve the prepared soup with dumplings immediately after cooking, while it is still hot, of course, you can warm it up, but a fresh dish will always be tastier.
It's great that an appetizing, light and healthy soup can be prepared just like that, roughly speaking, by immersing all the ingredients in a slow cooker and clicking a couple of buttons. It only remains then that there is a delicious home-made lunch without worries and hassle.

- Instead of chicken broth, you can use vegetable, meat or mushroom, depending on what you like to taste more.

- A simplified version of the soup simply eliminates the frying, that is, it’s enough to boil the potatoes in the broth, add the dumplings to it and the dish is ready!

- There are many options for making dumplings, including where flour is diluted with milk, and with the addition of butter. Therefore, if you are used to cooking dumplings in a different way, then it's okay, they definitely will not spoil the soup in the multicooker, if this is your proven recipe.
