Green salad with cottage cheese


Ingredients for making green salad with cottage cheese

  1. Cottage cheese (preferably granular) 100 grams
  2. Fresh cucumber 1 piece (small size)
  3. Green onion 1 bunch
  4. Parsley greens 1/2 bunch
  5. Dill Greens 1/2 bunch
  6. Kefir 100 grams
  7. Salt to taste

Cooking green salad with cottage cheese:

Step 1: Prepare the curd.


Take half a pack of cottage cheese, that is 100 grams, and pour it into a deep plate, in which you will later knead the salad. But my taste for cooking is better suited for grains, but pressed in briquettes is also suitable. Pour the cottage cheese with kefir and stir, if necessary, mash with a fork to an almost uniform mass.

Step 2: Prepare the cucumber.


Rinse the cucumber and, in order to make the salad tender and soft, peel the skin from the vegetable, and if desired, you can also clean the teaspoon and seeds. Cut the ends on both sides of the vegetable and chop the remaining pulp with a thin straw or small cubes.

Step 3: Prepare the green onions.


Rinse green onions thoroughly with warm water, shake off excess moisture. Lay the feathers on a cutting board and cut off the whitish parts. Chop the remaining greens into very small pieces.

Step 4: Prepare the dill and parsley.


Rinse dill and parsley with warm water, just like onions. Then cut thick inedible stems from the green bundles, leaving only juicy leaves. Throw away the stems, and chop the leaves with a knife, cutting them very finely.

Step 5: Mix the green salad with cottage cheese.


In a deep plate with cottage cheese softened in kefir, add pieces of cucumber, green onion and parsley with dill. Sprinkle all the ingredients with salt to taste and mix well to make a nice-colored pulp of cottage cheese and vegetables. Serve the finished salad immediately after cooking.

Step 6: Serve a green salad with cottage cheese.


Serve a green salad with cottage cheese for breakfast or afternoon snack, because eating it is not only useful, but also very tasty. If you wish, you can spread it on toasted crispy toasts or savory croutons and serve with tea as snack sandwiches.

Recipe Tips:

- A lot of things in this salad depend on the fat content of dairy products, so if you want to lose weight, it is better to take cottage cheese and kefir with a minimum fat content.

- Often this green salad is diluted with a juicy tomato or sweet bell pepper.

- Instead of kefir, you can season a green salad with cottage cheese unsweetened yogurt without any additives.
