Macaroni and Chicken Salad

Ingredients for Salad with Pasta and Chicken

  1. Pasta (horns, bows, spirals) 80 grams
  2. Chicken fillet 100 grams
  3. Fresh cucumber 1 piece
  4. Bacon (or ham) 150 grams
  5. Fresh tomatoes 2 pieces
  6. Canned corn 4 tablespoons
  7. Mayonnaise to taste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Salad leaves for decoration

Making a salad with pasta and chicken:

Step 1: Cooking Pasta

Dip the pasta in salted boiling water and cook according to the time indicated on the package. And so that they do not break up and boil apart, cook them on 30-40 seconds less than necessary, then drain the water, add a little odorless vegetable oil, mix and leave on 3-4 minutesby covering. However through 2 minutes the pasta needs to be mixed again. Once they are infused, pour the horns from the pan into a colander and cool to room temperature.

Step 2: cook the chicken.

Defrost the chicken fillet, rinse and boil in clean and slightly salted water until tender. Then remove the poultry meat, put it on a cutting board and cool to room temperature. Cut the fillet thus prepared into small cubes or tear into fibers.
Instead of fillet, you can also use chicken breast, but after cooking, you will need to remove the skin from it and free the meat from the bones.

Step 3: prepare fresh vegetables.

Rinse cucumbers and tomatoes thoroughly, dry, and then cut into small cubes. Attention: be sure to check if the peel of the cucumber tastes bitter, perhaps it needs to be peeled before slicing the vegetable.

Step 4: prepare the bacon.

Spread the bacon on a cutting board and cut into small cubes.

Step 5: prepare the corn.

Open a can of canned corn, drain excess liquid. Set aside the quantity you need.

Step 6: prepare the lettuce leaves.

Rinse the lettuce leaves thoroughly with running water, dry and cut the lower part, but a little, literally 2-3 centimeters.

Step 7: mix the salad.

Put all the prepared ingredients except lettuce in a deep plate, salt and taste with mayonnaise to taste. Then mix thoroughly and serve. Attention: dress salad right before serving it; if you cook the dish in advance, then simply salt it without adding mayonnaise.

Step 8: serve the pasta and chicken salad.

Lay out the leaves of greens on a serving dish, put a ready-made salad with pasta and chicken on them. You can do this in a common dish, you can immediately divide everything into portioned dishes, do what you think is right. And most importantly, enjoy the cooking process and delicious food that you got as a result.

- Chicken fillet can not only be boiled, but also stewed or baked on the grill. And for a more savory taste, choose smoked poultry.
