Carrot and Egg Salad


Ingredients for Carrot and Egg Salad

  2. Fresh carrot 4 pieces (large)
  3. 2 cloves of garlic

Inventory:

A small saucepan, a fine grater, a knife for peeling vegetables, a cutting board, a kitchen knife, a garlic press.

Making carrot and egg salad:

Step 1: Cook the eggs.


Place the chicken eggs in a small pan, completely fill them with water and put on fire. Wait for the liquid to boil, then turn down the power and continue to cook the eggs. 12-15 minutes. During this time, the ingredients are hard boiled, as we need.
Cool the finished eggs by placing them abruptly in ice water. When they have completely cooled, remove, peel and cut into small cubes.

Step 2: Prepare the carrots.


Carrots do not need to be cooked to make this salad. But you need to properly prepare the root crops, first having cleaned the skin from them, and then thoroughly rinsing each of them under running warm water.
Grind carrots prepared in this way by passing them through a medium or fine grater, depending on what you like best.

Step 3: Prepare the garlic.


Peel the garlic cloves and pass through a special press, or rub them in the same way as carrots before.

Step 4: Mix the carrot and egg salad.


All previously prepared ingredients, namely: eggs, carrots and garlic; put in a deep plate, season with a mixture of sour cream and mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. Be sure to taste it, if in your opinion it turned out too fresh, add a little salt, but usually this is not required.

Step 5: Serve the carrot and egg salad.


A salad of carrots and eggs can be served immediately after cooking, or you can hold it for a couple of hours in the refrigerator so that it is saturated, in any case it turns out to be incredibly good and tasty. Serve it as a complement to the side dish or spread it on bread.

Recipe Tips:

- To complicate the salad, many housewives add grated hard cheese, for example, Russian or Dutch.

- In order to make the salad even more useful, use only sour cream to fill it, without mixing it with mayonnaise.

- In order to turn this salad into a full, hearty dish, just add boiled potatoes to it.

- In summer, salad with carrots and eggs is decorated with fresh herbs, for example, basil leaves.
