Cooking baked mackerel in a slow cooker:

Step 1: Prepare the mackerel.


Before starting to cook, defrost the fish, and be sure to let it move and thaw itself, without using a microwave, hot water or other tricks. Otherwise, all this can greatly affect the taste and quality of the finished dish.
After defrosting, cut the mackerel by removing the gills or head, as well as cutting off the tail. If you have purchased fish without gutting, then be sure to do it yourself by removing the entrails. To do this, make a long longitudinal section on the abdomen and gently clean the fish from the inside.
At the end of the preparation, rinse the mackerel with cool water and pat dry by patting it with disposable paper towels.

Step 2: Pickle the mackerel.


Place each fish on its piece of foil. Salt, pepper, sprinkle with a special seasoning and rub well with your hands, distributing the spices inside and outside the mackerel. Pour each freshly squeezed lemon juice, and then peel the garlic cloves, cut them into thin slices and cover them with mackerel inside and out. Wrap each carcass in foil and send to 1-2 hours in the refrigerator, where the fish is soaked in spices.

Step 3: Bake the mackerel in a slow cooker.


As soon as the mackerel is slightly marinated, remove it from the refrigerator and wrap both fish in another layer of foil. It is he who will preserve the juiciness of the dish. Lay the resulting bundle on the bottom of the multicooker bowl, close everything with a lid. Choose a program "bakery products" on the instrument panel, set the temperature mode to 150 degrees and set the timer to 40 minutes. Important: if you want to get mackerel without a crust, then cooking will be enough 30 minutes. As soon as your assistant, the slow cooker, informs you that the allotted time is up, get the mackerel out of it and serve the finished dish on the table.

Step 4: Serve the mackerel.


Free mackerel baked in a multicooker from foil and cut into portioned slices in any way convenient for you. Use boiled potatoes and carrots as a side dish. It is also delicious to eat rice and pickled onions with fish. Do not forget the various sauces, which perfectly complement and emphasize the taste of baked mackerel.
