Preparation of salad "Pomegranate bracelet" without beets:

Step 1: Prepare the potatoes.


The first step is to prepare the potatoes, because it takes more time to cook it than to prepare all the other ingredients. Put the root vegetables in the pan, pour clean water, bring to a boil and cook for 40-50 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. Check readiness with a knife, it should easily enter and exit the pulp of a vegetable.
After cooking, drain the water and cool the hot potatoes to room temperature, and then peel off the peel. If the vegetables are really boiled, then it will be very simple to do. Chopped peeled potatoes with a medium or large grater and set aside in a separate plate. Important: Do not mix together salad ingredients ahead of time.

Step 2: Prepare the eggs.


Chicken eggs need to be cooked for a much smaller amount of time, namely, 12-15 minutes after the water boils. After cooking, the ingredients must be immediately cooled by placing them in ice water. After such a procedure, it will be very easy to peel off the shell. Grind the peeled eggs with a grater and lay in a separate plate.

Step 3: Prepare the carrots.


Carrots for cooking this salad do not need to be cooked. Rinse the root crops properly and, using a special knife, peel them from the skin. Cut off the inedible ends and rub or cut into very thin strips. Put carrots chopped in one way or another for a while, put them in a separate plate.

Step 4: Prepare the chicken.


If you have a piece of smoked chicken, get rid of bones, cartilage and, of course, skin, because it is too oily to make a salad out of it. Cut the chicken flesh into large cubes or tear into fibers, most importantly, you do not need to grind it very much.

Step 5: Prepare the onion.


Peel the onion, as usual, from the husk, and then cut into small cubes. Heat a vegetable oil in a small frying pan and pour onion slices into it. Sauté the ingredient over medium heat for 5-7 minutesstirring all the time. During this time, the onion should change color and become brownish-golden. Once this happens, transfer it from the pan to the plate, drain the excess oil and wait until the ingredient has cooled to room temperature.

Step 6: Prepare the apples.


Rinse the apples with warm running water, pat dry, remove the tails and cut the peel from the fruit. After cleaning, grate the ingredient on a medium grater, avoiding the ingress of seeds and a hard core. Place the chopped fruit pulp on a plate and pour lemon juice so that it does not darken while you prepare the rest of the ingredients and form a salad.

Step 7: Prepare the walnuts.


Peeled walnuts in a blender bowl and chop. If you do not have access to such a tricky device, then use a meat grinder or an ordinary grater.

Step 8: Prepare the pomegranate.


Pomegranate needs to be cleaned, to do this is quite simple, if you know what exactly needs to be done. At the beginning, cut off the top with the tail. You will see white streaks inside the fruit. With a knife edge, make shallow cuts from top to bottom, in the direction along these veins. Turn over the pomegranate and, holding it over a sufficiently deep plate, tap a tablespoon so that the seeds fall out themselves.

Step 9: collect the salad.


That's all, all the ingredients are prepared, it remains only to collect the salad, giving it the shape of a bracelet that gave it a name and made it so popular. To do this, take a sufficiently large plate, and put a glass cup or jar on its center, you can grease the selected dishes with a small amount of vegetable oil, so that later it is easier to remove it. Important: if the base of the glass is narrower than the top, then by all means put it bottom-down, otherwise you will destroy the entire structure by taking it out.
Now lay out all the ingredients in layers. Put the grated potatoes at the very bottom, add salt to taste and brush with mayonnaise. Lay the chicken in the second layer, it is smoked, which means that you do not need to salt it, as well as grease it with mayonnaise. Then fried onions, and eggs on it, salt and coat with mayonnaise. Apples on eggs, and then carrots. Sprinkle all crushed nuts on top and coat well again with mayonnaise, as this is the last layer. Now it remains only to sprinkle the salad with pomegranate seeds on top, leveling them with a tablespoon. That's all, it seems, have not forgotten anything. In general, the alternation of layers can also be any, depending on your desire. Now put the salad at least on 30 minutes in the refrigerator so that it becomes saturated and tastes even better.

Step 10: serve the salad.


Before serving, remove a glass or a jar from the middle of the salad, in exchange you can put a burning candle or several mint leaves in it. Slice the salad with a metal spatula and arrange in portions. At the end, offer a couple of slices of bread or homemade buns to the dish. Now it remains only to enjoy its taste and atmosphere of celebration and triumph, floating in the air.

Recipe Tips:

- Instead of smoked chicken, you can use boiled, but in this case it will certainly need to be salt.

- Sometimes a couple of garlic cloves are added to such a salad, sprinkling them with carrots. This gives piquancy, but in my opinion salads with garlic are not always appropriate on the festive table.
