Ingredients for Making Kiwi and Banana Jam

Making jam from kiwi and banana:
Step 1: Prepare the Kiwi
Kiwi is well washed under running warm water and spread on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the skin from the fruit and then cut into small pieces. The crushed components are moved to a small bowl and briefly set aside.
Step 2: prepare the bananas.
We wash the bananas under running warm water and put them on a cutting board. Using a knife, slightly cutting the edge, remove the peel from the fruit. Next, grind the components in small pieces and transfer to a free plate.
Step 3: prepare the lemon.
Using a juicer, squeeze the juice out of half a lemon.
Step 4: prepare the gelatin.
Pour gelatin into a deep bowl and immediately fill it with warm, clean water. Mixing well with a tablespoon, leave the mixture for 5-7 minutes aside. Attention: it is desirable that this be a warm place, then the gelatin will quickly turn into a jelly-like mass.
Step 5: prepare the jar with the lid.
To prevent our jam from fermenting or souring, be sure to sterilize the container in which it will be stored. But before you do this, let's thoroughly rinse the jar with the lid. To do this, use a special dishwashing detergent and a kitchen brush. We rinse the container under running warm water until the jar walls begin to creak, if wet hands are passed on them. Immediately after that we put the container upside down on a cloth towel, with which we previously laid the kitchen table. Let him rest for now.
In parallel with this, put on a medium fire a large pot half full of ordinary cold water. And so that it boils faster, we cover the container with a lid. Immediately after that, we fasten the burner to the maximum and carefully put the jar in the pan and put the lid on. The container must be sterilized during 10 minutes. Important: water should not boil, otherwise the glass may burst. After the allotted time, turn off the burner, and take out the jar with the lid with the help of kitchen tacks and tongs and return it to the same position on the cloth towel.
Step 6: make kiwi and banana jam.
Pour slices of kiwi and banana into an aluminum pan or bowl and immediately add sugar. We put the container on medium heat and let it warm up. Attention: do not forget to stir everything from time to time with a wooden spatula, but with extreme care so as not to turn the fruit into mashed potatoes. Across 10-15 minutes add freshly squeezed lemon juice and thickened gelatin here. When the mass boils, we detect 5 more minutes and cook the jam. At the end, turn off the burner and go on to conservation.
Using a scoop, pour the jam through a special funnel into a liter jar. Now we cover the container with a lid and, if necessary, twist it using a can opener. We leave the jar aside until it completely cools down, and afterwards we hide somewhere in a secluded place where the children will not get.
Step 7: serve kiwi and banana jam.
The next day, jam can already be served at the dessert table. We open the jar, and spread the contents with a tablespoon into a deep bowl. Serve jam to the dessert table with tea or coffee, as well as toast or biscuits.
It turns out to be very tasty and thick, so it can easily be spread on bread and eaten as a sandwich.

- for the preparation of aromatic rich jam, try to use only ripe varieties of kiwi and bananas, but also make sure that there are no spoiled places on the fruit (if this happened, then be sure to cut them off);
- this jam is stored for a relatively long time, especially if you have chosen its location - a refrigerator. But in any case, I advise you not to stock them for a long time, because bananas and kiwi can always be found at the grocery market or in the supermarket and prepare fresh aromatic jam for dessert;
- to jam thickened, be sure to smit on the date of manufacture of gelatin. The fresher it is, the more likely it is that the dessert will become more viscous in consistency;
- for washing jars with a lid, instead of a special dishwashing detergent, you can take ordinary baking soda. In this case, we clean the container until it ceases to be a soap.
