Cooking meatballs in the oven with rice:

Step 1: prepare the pork.


We wash the pork well under running warm water, wipe it with kitchen paper towels and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, we clean the meat from veins, films and excess fat. Now cut the component into small pieces and transfer to a medium bowl.

Step 2: prepare the beef.


We thoroughly wash the beef under running warm water to wash off the remnants of bones and other dirt. Now we wipe the component with kitchen paper towels and put it on a cutting board. With a knife, remove the films and veins from the meat. At the end, grind the beef into slices and transfer to a bowl of pork.

Step 3: prepare onions for meatballs.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and then rinse well under running water. Now we lay out the component on a cutting board and using a knife we ​​quarter. We divide each piece into several parts and move it into a container with meat.

Step 4: prepare the minced pork and beef.


Using a meat grinder with a fine grill, grind pork, beef and onion slices, always alternating the components. Attention: to make the stuffing homogeneous, repeat this procedure at least two times.

Step 5: prepare thyme leaves.


Thyme leaves are slightly washed under running water, shake off excess liquid and spread on a cutting board. Finely chop the greens with a knife and immediately pour it into a bowl with minced meat.

Step 6: prepare the garlic.


We put the garlic on a cutting board and lightly press down with the edge of the knife. Then with clean hands we remove the husk and rinse the cloves under running water.
We lay out the components back on a flat surface and finely chop into pieces. Pour the crushed garlic in a free saucer.

Step 7: prepare the pic.


Pour the rice into a sieve and rinse thoroughly under running water until it becomes transparent.

Then we move the cereal to the Turk and completely fill it with cold liquid from the tap. We put the container on medium heat and wait for the water to boil. Immediately after that, we fasten the burner to the maximum, do not completely cover the saucepan with the lid and cook the rice until half ready. It takes me about 10 minutes. After the allotted time, turn off the burner, and pour the cereal back into the sieve. We rinse it again under running cold water and leave it aside so that excess liquid from the glass component. This process will allow us to make delicious meatballs in which there will be no crumpled rice.

Step 8: prepare the parsley.


We wash the parsley under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the greens and immediately pour it into a clean saucer.

Step 9: prepare hard cheese.


Using a medium grater, grate hard cheese directly on the cutting board. Then move the chips into a free plate.

Step 10: prepare the meat for meatballs.


In a bowl with chopped ingredients, put finely chopped parsley, half-boiled rice, grated hard cheese, break the chicken egg, and pour salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until a uniform dense mass is formed. Now we wrap the container with cling film and put it briefly in the refrigerator. Let our mince rest a bit and insist.

Step 11: prepare the onions for the sauce.


With a knife, peel the onion from the husk and rinse thoroughly under running warm water. We spread the component on a cutting board and grind it into cubes. Pour finely chopped onion into a clean plate.

Step 12: prepare the carrots.


Using a vegetable cutter, peel the carrots from the skins. Then we thoroughly rinse it under running warm water to wash off the remnants of the earth and other dirt, and put it on a cutting board. Using a medium grater, rub the vegetable on a flat surface and then move the chips into a free plate.

Step 13: prepare the bell peppers.


Sweet peppers are well washed under running water and put on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the tail and seeds. Now cut the vegetable in half and chop each part in small cubes. The crushed component is moved to a free plate.

Step 14: prepare the apple.


So the time has come to reveal all the secrets of cooking delicious meatballs. It is the apple that will give that extraordinary taste and aroma to the sauce, which will make the dish more refined and interesting. So, we wash the fruit well under running water and put it on a cutting board. With a knife, we clean the component from the peel, the stalk, and then cut into two parts and remove the seed box.
Using a medium grater, we rub the apple directly over a clean plate and leave it aside for a while.

Step 15: prepare the meatball sauce.


Pour a small amount of olive oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When the contents in the container warms up well, pour the chopped onion here. From time to time, stirring with a wooden spatula, fry the component until transparent.

Next, add carrot chips and cubes of sweet pepper to it and continue to cook the sauce. Important: remember that sometimes you need to stir everything, otherwise the gas station will burn. After a few minutes, when the carrots become soft, pour sour cream and tomato sauce into the pan. Constantly stirring the improvised inventory, we bring the mass to homogeneity. Then we pour pure water here, and also pour salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mixing everything again, simmer the sauce over low heat for 10 minutes (but no more). At the end, pour the apple into the container and turn off the burner. Finally, do not forget to mix everything thoroughly until smooth. Just at this moment, the fruit will secrete juice and give the sauce its original taste and aroma.

Step 16: cook the meatballs in the oven with rice.


Pour the still hot sauce into a deep baking dish. Important: use only 1/2 of its part. We take out a bowl of minced meat from the refrigerator, release it from the cling film, and from the mass with the help of clean hands we begin to sculpt the balls. Attention: the meatball should not be larger than the fist and go out through the fingers. We put the balls in a container, and top them with the remaining sauce.
Turn on the oven and heat to temperature 180-190 degrees. Immediately after that, we tightly close the form with food foil and put it on an average level. Notice 60 minutes and prepare the dish. After the allotted time with the help of kitchen tacks, we take out the container and release it from the foil. Then we put it back in the oven and bake additional 7-8 minutes. This is necessary to ensure that the meatballs are covered with a golden crust. At the end, turn off the oven, and take out the dish and leave it aside. Let it cool slightly.

It turns out that meatballs are Sweden’s favorite national dish, although since childhood I thought that all the rights to this dish are one hundred percent only to my grandmother. Our meatballs are also very good. I would even say: "Wow!". You yourself will understand when you cook for the first time. So, with the help of a tablespoon, we shift the dish to a special plate, be sure to pour sauce and serve to the dining table with side dishes to your taste. For example, it can be boiled pasta, buckwheat, mashed potatoes, or just a salad of fresh vegetables along with bread. In any case, it turns out delicious, aromatic and very satisfying!

- for the preparation of minced meat, you can also use chicken, veal, rabbit, turkey and even nutria meat, which, incidentally, is considered not only dietary, but also very useful for children;

- For aroma, you can also add dried ground thyme and parsley to the minced meat. That is, if you did not manage to find fresh greens, do not be upset, because in supermarkets you will always find everything you need;

- try using homemade tomato sauce for the sauce. In the summer, it is very convenient to blanch tomatoes, then peel them, grind in a blender and only then add as a dressing.
