Cooking fried chicken with gravy:

Step 1: Prepare the chicken.

To prepare this dish, it is best to use chicken drumsticks and thighs, as they are the most fleshy and greasy part of the chicken. Wash the ingredients without removing the skin and dry them with paper towels. This is necessary so that the spices soak the meat better.
Pour the mixture of salt, garlic and onion powders onto a cutting board, add a mixture of peppers and mix all the spices together. Roll the chicken legs in the seasonings and grate the meat properly to distribute the mixture evenly over the entire area of ​​the pieces.

Step 2: Fry the chicken.

Now, on the same cutting board on which you mixed the spices, pour a little more than half of all the flour set aside for use in preparing this dish. Roll the seasoned chicken slices in flour thoroughly and start frying.

Heat oil in a pan and put chicken drumsticks and thighs boned in breadcrumbs of flour into it. Fry the chicken to a characteristic golden crust over 5-10 minutes on each side over medium heat. It’s okay if the meat inside remains raw, this is not all the heat treatment that we will subject the chicken.

In the meantime, put the fried slices on a flat dish, having previously placed disposable towels on its bottom. Thus we get rid of excess oil.

Step 3: Cook the gravy.

Once you remove the chicken from the pan, drain more than half of the remaining fat, mix the rest with the remaining flour and continue to fry on low heat, stirring all the time. When the mixture starts bubbling, pour milk into it with a thin stream.

Step 4: Stew the chicken in the gravy.

Now add the chicken pieces to the gravy again, use a tablespoon to pour meat from all sides, it should be immersed in the liquid about half. Cover the pan and continue cooking over low heat. 30-40 minutes. If necessary, add more milk or clean boiled water, in any case, do not allow the liquid to completely evaporate. After the chicken is cooked, remove it from the heat and proceed to serve.

Step 5: Serve the fried chicken with gravy.

Serve fried chicken with gravy must be hot, immediately after cooking. Put the fried pieces on a pillow made of garnish, such as boiled rice, buckwheat or vegetables, and pour everything over the cooked gravy. That's all! Enjoy a delicious dinner with your family and friends.
