Cooking the liver in a Stroganov style in a slow cooker:

Step 1: Prepare the liver.

Usually, to buy this dish, I buy a frozen liver, because it is a little easier to remove the film from it. First you need to partially defrost it and wash it with water, then remove the film and continue to defrost, just leaving the liver in the kitchen at room temperature. The cooled beef liver should first be placed on 3-4 minutes into warm water.
Do not forget to rinse the meat again after defrosting or removing the film.
When cutting the liver, do not forget to remove the veins, otherwise they can ruin the consistency of the whole dish. The size of the sliced liver should be small, but they should not be made very small.

Step 2: Prepare the onion.

As usual, peel the onion from the husks and rinse with water before cooking. This ingredient should be cut into small cubes or thin half rings.

Step 3: Prepare the greens.

Fill parsley and dill in a colander and rinse with hot water. Then fix the colander in the sink and let the excess liquid drain. Bunches of clean greens are chopped very finely, for convenience you can also use kitchen scissors instead of a knife.

Step 4: Cooking the Stroganoff liver in a slow cooker.

Set the slow cooker to "Bakery products" and grease its bottom with vegetable oil. Pour onion and liver slices into the appliance, fry them 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally. Then add the indicated amount of wheat flour and continue cooking 1-2 minutes stirring all the same. And, as the last step, add hot water, sour cream, salt and other spices to the slow cooker to taste, mix and continue to simmer again 5 minutes. Now close the appliance lid, select the mode "Extinguishing" and time 1 hour. That's all, wait for the end of the program. As soon as cooking time is over, add crushed greens to the liver in a sour cream sauce and start serving.

Step 5: Serve the Stroganoff liver.

Served in a Stroganov’s cooked in a slow cooker, serve with a side dish of boiled rice, buckwheat or, for example, mashed potatoes. Enjoy the soft and tender liver in sour cream sauce yourself and treat the guests. Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- In some recipes, tomato is also added, cut into small pieces.

- If you want your sauce not to be so thick, just refrain from adding flour.

- Choose the liver very carefully, but if it suddenly turns out that it has a too pungent smell, it is best to soak such a liver in milk before cooking.
