Blender, tablespoon, cutting board, kitchen knife, large bowl, cooker, medium bowl, enameled large pot or bowl, wooden spatula, slotted spoon, scoop, fine grater, saucer, glass half-liter jar - 3 pieces, twisted metal lids for cans - 3 pieces, a cloth towel - 2 pieces, an average saucepan with a lid, kitchen tongs, a deep bowl for serving, kitchen paper towels, dishwashing detergent, kitchen sponge

Cooking melon jam with apples:

Step 1: sterilize the jars with lids.

To begin with, we wash jars with lids under a stream of well warm water, using a kitchen sponge with detergent for dishes. Then we lay them upside down on the kitchen table, previously covered with a cloth towel, and proceed to the next stage of cleaning.

We put another cloth towel in the middle pan and half fill it with ordinary cold water. We put the container on a big fire, cover it with a lid and let the liquid boil. Immediately after this we fasten the burner and one by one we put here half-liter jars. Attention: if the pan allows, then you can put all the containers at the same time. Now sterilize the jars for 10 minutes. After the allotted time, we carefully remove them with the help of kitchen tacks and place them upside down on the kitchen table. At the end, we sterilize the metal lids for the same time as the banks, and turn off the burner.

Step 2: prepare the lemon.

We carefully wash the lemon under running warm water, wipe it with kitchen paper towels and put it on a cutting board. Using a fine grater, we rub the peel of citrus directly on a flat surface. Then pour the lemon shavings into a clean saucer and leave them aside for a while. Attention: to make jam, based on the ingredients specified in the recipe, we need 0.5-1 teaspoon of zest.

Step 3: prepare the melon.

We carefully wash the melons under running warm water and put them on a cutting board. Using a knife, cut the components in half. From each part, using a tablespoon, remove the seeds with fibers (we will not need them).

Then cut off the peel from the halves and then grind with pieces of arbitrary shape. We chop finely chopped melons in small portions into the blender bowl and grind at high speed until a homogeneous mass is formed.

Pour the ground melon into a deep bowl and continue to chop the pieces until they end. Everything, the basis for jam is ready!

Step 4: prepare the apples.

Rinse the apples well under strong warm water and put them on a cutting board. With a knife, cut the fruit into two parts and remove the core from each. Now peel the components and cut into small pieces the size of up to 3 centimeters. Pour crushed apples into a medium bowl and immediately proceed to make jam.

Step 5: prepare the melon jam with apples.

Pour the ground melon into an enameled pan or bowl, pour sugar here and put on medium heat. From time to time, stirring with a wooden spatula, bring the mass to a boil. Immediately after that, we reduce the heat to the maximum and cook everything until the mixture in consistency resembles young honey. Important: if foam forms on the surface, be sure to remove it with a slotted spoon and throw it into the sink.

Now gently (so as not to get burned) we spread apple slices into the mass, pour out the zest of lemon and once again mix everything well with the improvised inventory. When the jam boils again, cook it still 5 minutes and turn off the burner.

Using a scoop, pour it into sterilized jars and tightly close with metal lids. We put the jam in a secluded place and wait for it to reach room temperature. Immediately after this, we transfer it to the pantry, where there is no sunlight, and we are waiting for the right moment to try it.

Step 6: serve melon jam with apples.

We usually open a jar of jam in the winter and treat ourselves with tea. In any case, a deep bowl is perfect for this. Also, the sweet mass can be added as a filling for pies, rolls and other pastries, which you like best. By the way, in addition to an unforgettable aroma, jam has an amazing taste and texture. Thanks to the crushed apples, it seems that you enjoy the melon, like in summer. Help yourself!
Good appetite!
