Cooking casserole with tomatoes:

Step 1: prepare the tomatoes.


Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly under running warm water and put them on a cutting board. Using a knife, remove the place where the tail was. Now we leave half of the vegetables aside for a while, and chop the second into cubes. Pour them into a small bowl.

The rest of the components are cut into circles and carefully placed in a clean plate.

Step 2: prepare the onions.


Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and rinse thoroughly under running water. Then put the component on a cutting board and finely chop into cubes. Pour the chopped onions into a free plate.

Step 3: prepare the garlic.


We spread the garlic on a cutting board and lightly press down with the tip of a knife. Then with clean hands we remove the husk and rinse the clove under running water.

Spread the component back onto a flat surface and chop finely. Pour the crushed garlic in a free saucer.

Step 4: prepare the casserole filling.


In a medium bowl we spread the pork and ground beef, cubes of tomatoes, chopped onions, garlic, as well as paprika, to taste salt and black pepper. Using a knife, break the eggshell, pour the yolk with protein into the same container and, using a tablespoon, mix everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is formed. Everything, the filling is ready!

Step 5: prepare the potatoes.


We carefully wash the potatoes under running warm water and put them on a cutting board. Using a peeler, remove the peel from the component.

Now, using a coarse grater, grind the vegetable directly on the cutting board and immediately transfer it to a colander. Attention: we leave the container somewhere aside and be sure to weigh, since excess liquid will drain from the potato chips. Then pour the component into a large bowl and proceed to the casserole cooking stage.

Step 6: prepare the casserole with tomatoes.


Lubricate the bottom and walls of a deep baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil using a pastry brush. Now in the center of the container we spread the meat filling and try to squeeze it slightly with clean hands. Around the minced meat (along the edge), spread the grated potatoes and at the end cover them with the whole dish. It turns out that the filling is inside, and the vegetable chips are outside. Due to this composition, the casserole is to taste like potato pancakes, and inside it has an expressive juicy layer of meat, chopped tomatoes and all kinds of spices, which during baking soak the dish with their unforgettable aromas. At the end, we finish our work of art with such a twist as circles of tomatoes, which we sprinkle with salt and black pepper and slightly sprinkle with a little vegetable oil so that the vegetables are slightly browned.
Turn on the oven and heat it to temperature 200 ° C. Immediately after that, put the form on a medium level and cook the casserole for 45 minutes. After the allotted time, turn off the oven, and take out the container from there with the help of kitchen gloves and set aside.

Step 7: Serve the casserole with tomatoes.


When the casserole with tomatoes slega has cooled, using a knife, cut it into portioned pieces. With a wooden spatula, we shift the dish to a special plate and serve it to the dining table. Since the casserole is very satisfying, you can enjoy it only with slices of bread and, if desired, with a glass of dry red wine.

Recipe Tips:

- Before baking, you can also sprinkle the dish with grated hard cheese. Then the casserole will turn out with a golden crust;

- For the filling, it is best to use homemade minced meat. Then you can use a meat grinder with a fine grill or a blender at high speed;

- in order to give the casserole a more expressive aroma, ground coriander, "hops-suneli", basil, and oregano can be added to the filling.
