Dessert cake with fruit, nuts and cardamom - at the bread machine

For two weeks I have had a new toy and a bread machine. I experience looking for the perfect recipe. I put a sweet on you. The recipe was taken from the recipe of the bread machine with small additions. The cake was to our taste, we made it less sweet. We added extra nuts and spices. It came out so tasty that it is wanted to be on our table as often !!! What can I say, when I prepared the cake, I didn't have baking powder in the house. I replaced it with a little baking soda quenched with lemon and 5gr of brewer's yeast. Eventually I got it over with: D

  • 5 eggs
  • 165 gr sugar
  • 230 gr butter
  • 330 gr flour
  • 5 gr brewer's yeast
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/2 lemon peel + juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons Italian limoncello-liqueur lemon
  • 4 tablespoons brown rum
  • 4 tablespoons brandy
  • 10 dried apricots
  • 100 gr raisins
  • 100 gr candied fruit-citrus peels
  • 150 g walnut kernels

Preparation time: over 120 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Cake dessert with fruits, nuts and cardamom - at the bread machine:

  1. Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a bowl and mix for a few minutes until it doubles in volume.

  2. This composition is placed in the pan of the bread machine.

  3. Raisins are hydrated in brown rum mixed with brandy.

  4. To speed up the hydration process [if you don't have time] the raisins can be put in the microwave for 1.5 minutes.

  5. After that, let them cool before adding them to the cake composition.

  6. The walnuts are hydrated in warm water. You can change the water 2-3 times. You will notice the brown juice being thrown away. Walnuts will stay clean and hydrated.

  7. Dried apricots are sliced.

  8. Add limoncello, soft butter, grated lemon peel, cardamom and white flour in the rain.

  9. Add the fermented brewer's yeast and the baking soda quenched with lemon juice.

  10. Place the tub in the car and select program no. 18 and the degree of browning. Press the on / off button.

  11. After 23 minutes at the beep, add the candied fruit and nuts.

  12. The program lasts about 3 hours.

  13. At the end of the program, carefully remove the tub [it is hot} and place the cake to cool on a stainless steel grill.

  14. Slice and serve the cake next to milk, tea or coffee.
