Strawberry shortcake

Step 1 Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the melted butter and mix until a smooth dough is obtained. Using a rolling pin, spread the dough in a 30x40 cm sheet, between two baking sheets, so that it does not stick. Place in a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.

Electric oven: 200 ° C

Step 2 To prepare the scalded dough, melt butter or margarine with water and salt in a bowl. Remove the pan from the heat and add the flour mixed with the starch and baking powder. Stir continuously using the mixer on high speed and allow to cool slightly. Then gradually incorporate the eggs.

Step 3 1/3 of the dough is spread with a spatula in a tray lined with baking paper. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake at the temperature indicated above for 20 minutes, and in the first 15 minutes do not open the oven! Step 5 For the cream, prepare the pudding according to the instructions on the envelope, then leave it to cool a bit and incorporate the cheese, powdered sugar, juice and lemon peel, then the dessert foam with cream flavor.

Step 6 Assembly: Place a thin layer of strawberry jam on top of the crispy top, then place a top of the scalded dough. Spread half of the cream thus obtained over the cake, then sprinkle 200 g of diced strawberries and cover with the last sheet of scalded dough left. The rest of the cream is spread evenly on top.
