Cooking Potato Casseroles:

Step 1: prepare the potatoes.

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly under running water and put in a medium saucepan. Attention: we don’t peel the tubers, as we will cook them in their uniforms. Now fill the component with ordinary cold water from the tap so that the liquid completely covers it, and put on medium heat. To quickly boil the contents in the pan, cover the container with a lid. Immediately after that, slightly reduce the heat and cook the potatoes for 25-40 minutes. Attention: cooking time of vegetables depends on their size and freshness. For example, old large potatoes can even be cooked 45-50 minutes. But the young one - 25 minutes. After the allotted time, we check the tubers. To do this, using a fork or the edge of a knife, pierce each vegetable and see if the inventory easily entered the pulp, so you can turn off the burner. If not, then extend the cooking time yet for 7-10 minutes.

Then put the potatoes on a cutting board and leave aside to cool. When the component becomes warm in temperature, carefully remove the peel from it and, using a knife, cut into thin slices or circles (as you like).

Shredded vegetable is transferred to a small bowl and proceed to the preparation of the remaining ingredients.

Step 2: prepare the onion.

Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and rinse thoroughly under running water. Then put the component on a cutting board and finely chop into cubes. Attention: You can also cut the onion in half rings or quarters. We pour everything into a clean plate and leave it aside for a while.

Step 3: prepare hard cheese.

Using a medium grater, grind hard cheese directly on a cutting board. Then pour the chips into a free saucer and wrap with cling film. This must be done so that the component does not weather and become dry.

Step 4: prepare the sausages.

Using a knife, remove the protective film from the sausages and lay out the component on a cutting board. We cut it into thin circles and immediately move it to a clean plate.

Step 5: prepare the dressing for the dish.

Using a knife, break the eggshell, and pour the yolks with proteins into a clean small bowl. We also add mayonnaise, sour cream, as well as salt and black pepper to taste. Using a hand whisk, beat all the ingredients until a homogeneous mass is formed. Everything, the dressing for the dish is ready!

Step 6: Cook the Potato Casserole.

Lubricate the bottom and walls of a deep baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil. Then put the slices of potatoes here with the first layer. Add chopped sausages on top and sprinkle the dish with finely chopped onions. Now fill all the components with dressing so that it completely covers them. Immediately after that we put the capacity of the casserole on a medium level and cook it for 25-35 minutes until a golden crust forms on the surface.

After the allotted time, turn off the oven, and take out the form with the help of kitchen gloves and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 7: serve the potato casserole.

When the potato casserole has cooled slightly, use a knife to cut it into portioned slices and transfer to a special flat plate using a wooden spatula. We serve the dish with all kinds of sauces, sour cream and ketchup. The casserole is incredibly delicious! Delicate, juicy, with a sausage surprise inside.
